Wangaratta Primary School offers outside school hours care (OSHC) after school on school days, and all day on curriculum days.
The Program
Wangaratta Primary School OSHC is a non-profit service sponsored by the Wangaratta Primary School’s School Council and funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Family Service. Funding was approved in 2008 to provide an OSHC program with 30 placements.
Wangaratta Primary School OSHC is committed to nurturing and extending each child’s social, physical, emotional and intellectual development in a child-friendly, supportive and fun environment.
Healthy snacks and drinks are provided.
Information, programs and announcements regarding OSHC will be published in the school’s newsletter and also displayed in the OSHC room.
Activities
OSHC will offer a planned but flexible, balanced program, which will respond to children’s interests, needs and stages of development.
The program will be developed in collaboration with children, parents and staff.
Activities included in the program are arts, craft, cooking, drama, music, individual creative time and indoor/outdoor play. Equipment and resources are purchased with grant money and revenue generated from OSHC enrolments.

The service will provide trained staff and will encourage the ongoing participation of parents and guardians in planning and management of the service.
Hours of Operation
Monday to Friday, 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm (School and public holidays excluded)
School curriculum days, 8:30 am – 6:00 pm
Fees
$12 per session per child (less Childcare Benefit if applicable)
$32 per day per child for Curriculum Days (less Childcare Benefit if applicable)
Payment of fees
Fees will be invoiced fortnightly and can be paid at the school office. All fees for care must be paid by the due date.
