Terrific Tuesdays

On Tuesday 16th of August, 5/6w, 5/6p, 4/5f and 3/4d participated in their first of four weeks of activities. In these activities, parents come in and teach the children. They were split up into 10 clubs. There was mosaics, cooking, photography, beading, woodwork, bird boxes, primitive dolls and cross stitch. Mosaics and cooking were so popular that they had to have two groups.

The groups were spread out around the school with the two mosaics groups out the front of Mrs. Ferresâ?? class, one cooking group was in the staff room, and the other was in the tuck shop. Beading was held in Miss Dewâ??s grade, the cross stitch and primitive dolls were in the two 5/6 classrooms. Bird boxes and wood work were on the back veranda and the area outside 5/6p. Photography was in the library but the children also went outside and took some photos of the students having fun in their groups. Most of the children said they learnt a lot from the groups and also had a lot of fun.

Thank you to all the parents and teachers who volunteered and gave up their time to help us with the clubs.
