DECA

‘SCREECH’ the double decker bus zooms off and the Grade six’s of Wangaratta Primary School are off to DECA.Ben & Claire show us the way to drive It’s the 9th of November and this is the long awaited school trip that the Grade six’s have been looking forward to. Every year it’s like a school tradition for Wangratta Primary School to go to DECA. DECA is a program to learn how to drive safely and learn road rules that can be carried on when we are old enough to drive real cars. We got to drive small cars called Careful Cobbers, although some of us weren’t very good at staying on the road. Tania & Jenny were our instructors for the day. They told us where to go and what rules we had to follow. On the way back to school was just as much fun as DECA, while the boys were being surprisingly quiet, down below on the first floor of the bus the girls made a circle of trust and played Truth and Dare. Our bus driver, Bob, was really awesome and even gave some of us nick names (e.g. Water Girl). All together it was a great day and everybody had loads of fun.
