Grade 4/5F have been “working mathematically” on their “Introduction to Data Analysis.”

Their investigation included:

1. Accurately measuring their own heights.
2. Recording their heights on a line plot, in a table or with tallies.
3. Recording and Describing the data and summarising what’s typical using such terms as the range, how heights spread out or clump, outliers, median and average.
4. Measure the heights of grade one children and repeat the process.
5. Compare the 2 sets of data.
6. Prepare presentation graphs and reports.
