On Monday the 9th of October a selection of students went to the Appin Park Athletics Complex for the Zone Sports. There were lots of competitors and there were many people participating in all sorts of different events. Our school had at least one person in for everything. Everyone tried hard and did their best.
The last competition of the day was the relays. It was very exciting and we all cheered each other on as the last person crossed over the line.
Maddison, Joel, Tim, Josh, Jack and Rachel have managed to get to the next stage of Zones at Shepparton on Friday, 13 October.
Over all it was a great day and all did well.

On Monday 9th of October the Wangaratta P.S. Athletics Team went down to the Appin Street Athletics Complex to do what they did best, athletics. It was a long and very windy day. It was great because when you weren’t participating in your event you were egging other members of the team on, hopefully to victory.
The relays at the end of the day were exciting and tiresome. Only one of our teams made it through. They were called The Dream Team.
The competition was fierce and in the end only six people got through to the next stage. Their names were Joel, Rachel, Tim, Jack, Josh and Madison. We got back to the school at 3:00. It was a great day.
