National Leaders’ Day

On the 19th of March 2007, most of the grade 6 students from 5/6L and 5/6P went to a Leadership talk at the Vodafone Arena in Melbourne.

We had to leave from the school at 5.45 in the morning and we arrived in Melbourne at 9.20am.

The talk was about how to be a responsible leader at school and at home.

We had five celebrities. They were Madeleine West, Katrina Webb, Lisa McInnesSmith, Mike Martin and Rex Pemberton.

They talked to us about:
*always asking questions and never giving up
*achieving your goals and thinking outside the square.

Lisa McInnes Smith told us that: L.E.A.D stands for Love others, Encourage Others, Ask questions and Dare and that, leaders always:
*do their best
*have passion
*be strong
*care for others .
