A warm welcome is extended to all members of our school community to what promises to be an exciting and high achieving 2008.A special welcome to our new families, both in Prep and throughout the school. We hope that you will quickly feel part of the Wangaratta Primary School family.It has already been a great start to the year. The children are eager to learn and full of holiday adventures. The Preps have settled incredibly well, proudly wearing their new uniforms and already demonstrating their reading and writing skills!We welcome two returning and two new members of staff to our Wangaratta team. Rosemary Farrell has returned from 12 months leave, Anna Arcuri has returned from family leave, Fiona Carson joins us in year 1/2, and Andrea Matheson is teaching a 3/4 class.Our focus this year is numeracy, with Michael Ymer, a Mathematician visiting later in the year to talk to teachers, students and parents.Wishing everyone a happy and fruitiful year,Anne FaheyPrincipal
