Parents Club

WHO WE ARE….

We are a group of parents who are genuinely interested in supporting our school and children through fundraising and social activities. Each year we create a calendar of fundraising activities. We meet two to three times a term to discuss and share what needs to be done to complete each of the fundraising activities. We assist with catering for special afternoon teas or meetings and provide support to the school staff. We have an Annual General Meeting to elect a new committee in June each year

WHAT WE DO….

As well as traditional activities like the Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day stalls, we hold an annual Welcome BBQ at the beginning of the year. It is a brilliant evening of fun for the students, their families and the broader community.  We also run a very popular 'Hot Food Lunch' two to three time per term and coordinate the Breakfast Club Program every Tuesday and Thursday morning before school.

Other regular fundraising events include raffles, a Cherry Drive, Bunnings Sausage Sizzle, Scholastic Books and Fair, Pie Drive, Art Show and other activities and events as they arise.  New fundraising ideas are warmly welcomed!

WHAT WE HAVE ACHIEVED….

Most recently, the fantastic fundraising efforts of the Wangaratta Primary School community will support the significant upgrade to the main entrance of the school, including concrete, lawn and plants. We have also recently planted 40 new trees in the playground and purchased mud kitchens for children to play with.

We also purchase new books for the library and classrooms on an ongoing basis.

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED….

We invite you to become involved in the Parents Club. We welcome anyone to join us for our meetings, and whether you wish to become a regular member of simply help out on an as needs basis, we would love to meet you. Pre-school children and infants are very welcome to attend with you.
